MMSU STUDENTS JOIN CLINICAL IMMERSION IN JAPAN
SIX Physical Therapy students from Mariano Marcos State University are currently undergoing a two-week clinical immersion at Seirei Christopher University in Japan as part of an ongoing student exchange program between the two institutions.
The group is composed of Yasmien Ausa, Josiah Henry Bolompo, Darelle Faith Dansalan, Aira Shayne Gayap, Frances Aura Maramba, and Jazzelle Lidiyah Yapo. They represent the second batch of MMSU participants in the international program.
Accompanied by University Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Chief Mary Audrey Viloria, the students were warmly welcomed by SCU officials and students during an orientation that outlined the program’s objectives and expected outcomes.
Throughout their immersion, the MMSU students will engage in hands-on learning activities with SCU faculty and peers at partner hospitals and clinics, including Morimachi Public Hospital, Sakai Neurologic Clinic, and Hamamatsu Rehabilitation Hospital.
The program follows last year’s successful two-week immersion of the first MMSU batch at SCU, which provided meaningful exposure to advanced physical therapy practices and fostered academic collaboration.
Established in 2021, the MMSU-SCU partnership continues to strengthen through student and faculty exchanges, with a memorandum of agreement signed in January 2025 to further expand cooperation in health-related education and research.
