QC AFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

/ 26 July 2025

THE QUEZON City government has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive education, as more than 2,400 QC residents recently graduated from the city’s Alternative Learning System (ALS)—a significant milestone in their educational journey.

The ALS program provides out-of-school youth and adult learners a second chance at education, allowing them to complete basic education outside the traditional classroom setup.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte congratulated the graduates and pledged to continue enhancing the city’s inclusive education efforts.

“As a mayor who prioritizes education for all, we will continue to strengthen and expand our ALS programs to reach more QCitizens in need of support,” Belmonte said.

The city government lauded the perseverance and determination of ALS learners, recognizing their achievements as proof of the power of second chances and the value of lifelong learning.

The ALS initiative forms part of Quezon City’s broader advocacy to empower citizens through accessible, quality, and flexible learning opportunities.
