DIGITAL, SCALABLE, PEOPLE-FIRST: ASTICOM CEO OUTLINES VISION FOR OUTSOURCING

25 June 2025

As the global demand for agile and tech-enabled services continues to rise, the Philippine outsourcing industry stands at a pivotal juncture.

In a recent interview, Asticom President and CEO Mharicar Castillo-Reyes shared a bold vision for the outsourcing sector—one centered on digital transformation, strategic scalability, and a people-first approach, with Filipino talent poised to take the spotlight on the international stage.

“Outsourcing today is no longer just about transactions, it’s about transformation,” Castillo-Reyes said. “Our clients are looking for partners that can help them move faster, work smarter, and deliver better results through technology, AI, and scalable solutions.”

Founded in 2015 with just five employees, Asticom has grown into a major player in the outsourcing space, offering five core lines of business: talent, employee experience, customer experience, information technology, and engineering outsourcing.

Today, as part of the Globe ecosystem, it supports over 40 industries, including fintech, telecom, logistics, and infrastructure, and has expanded its workforce to more than 4,000 talents.

Outsourcing services are evolving in complexity and scope, and Castillo-Reyes pointed to artificial intelligence (AI) as a key force shaping the industry’s next phase.

“AI is not a threat to the outsourcing industry; it’s an enabler. The companies that harness AI to complement their people will lead in the next era of B2B service delivery,” she pointed out.

Asticom integrates AI across its operations, from streamlining talent screening and payroll to enhancing IT support and regulatory compliance. Through its proprietary digital platforms, such as NXT, it empowers even small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to adopt smarter, more accessible staffing solutions.

Looking beyond Philippine shores, Castillo-Reyes revealed that Asticom is set to expand internationally, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region, particularly Australia and New Zealand.

“For the last decade, we’ve been proudly serving the domestic market. Now, we’re ready to bring Filipino excellence to the region,” she said, referencing Asticom’s recent participation in an Australian roadshow that garnered strong interest in offshoring Philippine-based tech and business support services.

Castillo-Reyes also touched upon Asticom’s Pulse 2025: B2B Innovation & Leadership Forum, slated for July 11. The event will gather industry leaders to explore the future of work and enterprise solutions, in line with the company’s drive to lead innovation in the outsourcing space.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, Asticom is preparing for the future with ambitious growth plans, including the creation of 15,000 jobs in the coming years.

“We are committed to helping our clients evolve from siloed, manual processes to intelligent, tech-driven operations. At the same time, we’ll continue delivering on our purpose: to uplift Filipino lives through innovation, technology, and meaningful employment,” noted Castillo-Reyes.

With its focus on sustainable growth and empowered talent, Asticom positions itself not merely as a service provider but as a transformation partner – built for the future, rooted in purpose, and powered by people.
