SURVEY REVEALS STUDENTS’ DISGUST AND REJECTION OF DUTERTE CAMP
A RECENT survey conducted by the Center for Student Initiatives found that 84.8 percent of students support the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte, reflecting the widespread frustration among Filipino youth toward government corruption.
Kabataan Partylist, a youth political group, emphasized that while public funds are allegedly misused in the Office of the Vice President, sectors like education and social services continue to suffer from inadequate funding.
“Even students in Mindanao reject Sara Duterte,” said Kabataan Partylist First Nominee Renee Co.
“This survey shows that no matter where you come from, young people understand that misusing public funds is a crime, and those responsible must be held accountable,” the group added.
Co urged the youth to unite and make their voices heard in the political landscape.
“This is even more reason for young people to stand together and assert our role in shaping our nation’s future. We will bear the consequences of today’s politics, so we must not be afraid to take a stand—even against those in power—if we are fighting for what is right,” she said.
Kabataan Partylist has been vocal in calling for greater accountability in government spending, particularly in sectors that affect the youth. The group has vowed to continue advocating for transparency and prioritization of education and social services.
