SOLON VOWS TO PROVIDE MORE SUPPORT TO THE YOUTH SECTOR

/ 10 March 2025

LAS PIÑAS City Rep. Camille Villar vowed to provide more support to the youth sector, including the Sangguniang Kabataan and Liga ng mga Barangay.

In her brief talk with members of Liga ng mga Barangay – Cavite Chapter, Villar highlighted their roles in bringing government services to the people.

She also noted how fortunate the barangays in Cavite are due to the province’s extensive infrastructure projects and road networks.

Aside from generating jobs, she mentioned that infrastructure development helps bring progress to every barangay and city in the country.

The two-term lawmaker from Las Piñas expressed her understanding of the hard work of barangay workers, who are directly involved in the community.

“I can feel the daily challenges you face. You inspire me to strive harder in serving the public the best way I can,” said Villar, advocating for community involvement in local governance.

With the youth sector comprising about 70 percent of the country’s approximately 115 million population, Villar is hoping to represent the millennial voice if given the chance to serve in the Senate.

Villar also recently met with barangay leaders in Iloilo, Palawan, and Cebu City, where she vowed to support measures and projects that would enhance the rights of the youth and barangay workers.
