OVER 20,000 students took the Polytechnic University of the Philippines College Entrance Test (PUPCET) at the university’s Sta. Mesa, Manila campus over the weekend.

Due to the large number of examinees, the test was conducted in four shifts throughout the day to ensure an orderly process.

According to PUP, the total number of applicants for PUPCET 2025 has exceeded 156,000, with nearly 122,000 registering at the Sta. Mesa campus and around 35,000 in other satellite campuses.

However, only 12,000 students will be admitted as first-year students for the Academic Year 2025-2026.

The PUPCET results are expected to be released in June 2025, three months after the last batch of exams in March. However, there are reports that an additional batch may be scheduled in April.
