MMSU LAUNCHES 10 MICRO-CREDENTIAL COURSES TO BOOST SKILLS TRAINING

MARIANO Marcos State University has introduced 10 micro-credential courses through its Curriculum Development and Innovative Learning Directorate.

The university officially launched these courses following the approval of Board Resolution Order No. 25, Series of 2024.

According to MMSU, micro-credentials are short, focused courses designed to help learners gain specific skills for career advancement.

Through competency-based training and assessment, these courses aim to enhance qualifications and improve employability.

MMSU OIC-President Prima Fe R. Franco stated that these micro-credential courses represent a transformative step in MMSU’s commitment to lifelong learning.

She added that the initiative empowers individuals to continuously upgrade their skills, ensuring they remain competitive in an evolving job market.

In partnership with the College of Business, Economics, and Accountancy, MMSU is offering two courses: Personality Development and Social Graces, and Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting.

The College of Engineering is collaborating to provide eight additional courses, including Creative Venture Using Lean Model, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, and various levels of Autodesk Revit Fundamentals and Advanced Training.

CDIL Director Ronald Candy Lasaten emphasized that MMSU’s micro-credential courses focus on verifying specific skills and competencies.

He noted that these courses are research-based, require practical demonstrations, and follow clear assessment criteria to ensure quality learning outcomes.
