HOOKED IN BOOKS LIBRARY LAUNCHED
THE HOOKED on Books Library and its associated Reading Program were launched at Pinagbuhatan Elementary School.
According to the Pasig City Public Information Office, the program, developed through collaboration between the Pasig City Government and Linking Individuals to Nurture Kids’ Success Philippines, aims to cultivate young people’s imagination and skills for a bright future through reading.
The turnover ceremony was held on Monday. During the event, school principal Josephine Macawile and Schools Division Office-Pasig Chief Education Supervisor Dr. Victor Javeña delivered speeches.
The ceremonial turnover of the HOB Library, containing a variety of children’s books, was led by LINKS PH President Maria Consuelo Doble. It was warmly received by the City Government of Pasig, represented by Councilor Corie Raymundo, Chairperson of the Committee on Education of the 11th Sangguniang Panlungsod of Pasig.
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto led the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the tour of the facility as part of its blessing.
In his message, Mayor Sotto expressed gratitude to all the organizations and volunteers who contributed to the successful launch of the HOB Library in the city.
