DPWH BREAKS GROUND FOR FIRST MEDIUM-RISE ACADEMIC BUILDING
THE DEPARTMENT of Public Works and Highways has broken ground for the country’s first-ever medium-rise academic building at Don Vicente Rama Memorial National High School in Cebu City.
The building will feature 12 stories, nine workshops, and 42 classrooms.
According to the DPWH, the groundbreaking ceremony signifies a significant collaboration between the DPWH and the Department of Education, demonstrating their shared commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure and opportunities for Filipino students.
DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan and DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara led the event.
“Today, we are not merely breaking ground for a building; we are laying the foundation for a brighter future for our children, our educators, and our country,” Bonoan said.
The DPWH added that the project represents a “major leap forward in its mission to create a brighter future for the Philippines.”
