THE UNIVERSITY of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines has received the prestigious Internationalization Award from the Commission on Higher Education.

The Certificate of Commendation recognizes USTP’s exceptional commitment to internationalizing Philippine higher education.

USTP’s achievements in globally recognized rankings, such as the Quacquarelli Symonds Asia University Rankings (Rank 901+) and Times Higher Education Impact Rankings (Rank 1001–1500), were key factors in earning this recognition.

Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II, USTP System President, accepted the award and emphasized the university’s focus on innovation and excellence as vital components of its mission to transform lives and communities through science and technology.

“With this achievement, USTP reaffirms its vision of becoming a globally engaged institution. This milestone celebrates USTP’s commitment to excellence and strengthens its determination to advance its mission of creating a sustainable and brighter future for everyone,” the school stated.

The ceremony took place last month during the Internationalization Champions of Nation-Building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards 2024.

The ICONS Awards serve as a premier platform to celebrate Philippine Higher Education Institutions excelling in sustainability, internationalization, and global performance.
