TSU, DAEGU HAANY UNIVERSITY FORGE GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
TARLAC State University has partnered with South Korea’s Daegu Haany University to establish a two-year collaboration focusing on faculty and student mobility in Early Childhood Education.
The agreement, formalized earlier this week, includes initiatives such as faculty exchanges, an English Language Proficiency Program (ELPP), and cultural exchange programs.
Dr. Gabjung Yoon, Dean of Child Welfare and Counseling at DHU, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “I hope this will be a meaningful opportunity to learn more about Filipino culture and education.”
TSU Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Agnes M. Macaraeg, emphasized that the collaboration aligns with the university’s efforts toward internationalization, supporting program accreditation and its SUC leveling goals.
Key elements of the partnership include seminars, lectures, and training sessions aimed at sharing best practices in Early Childhood Education. TSU will also assign faculty members to the ELPP to immerse international students in Filipino culture and promote cross-cultural understanding.
“We are excited about this collaboration, as it aligns with our vision to be globally competitive by partnering with prestigious universities like Daegu Haany University,” TSU President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco remarked.
