A GROUP of cultural artists from the University of San Agustin in Iloilo City recently earned top honors at the 37th Aliw Awards.

The team was led by Princess Production, composed of three Augustinian alumni — choreographer Steven Jacosalem, Artistic Director Joemar Sustento, and Creative Director Ron Matthews Espinosa.

They won two major awards: The Tultugan Festival of Maasin, Iloilo was named Best Dance Production, and the Manggahan Festival earned the title of Best Festival Performance.

The team dedicated their recognition to the local communities and supporters of the festivals, acknowledging their collaboration and mentorship as essential to their success.

“This honor inspires us to continue striving for greater heights in our craft and to give back to the community that has always supported us,” Espinosa said.

Founded in 1975 by the Aliw Awards Foundation, Inc., the prestigious awards recognize excellence in live entertainment across the Philippines.
