USC WINS BACK-TO-BACK DELOITTE TAX CHALLENGE TITLES
THE UNIVERSITY of San Carlos clinched the national championship in the Deloitte Tax Challenge 2024.
Team “AtTax on Titan”— composed of third-year accountancy students Jose Emmanuel Cañete, Marie Therese Diaz, Ashley Marie Huan, and Christian Rhoel Silor— outperformed over 60 teams in the elimination round.
They triumphed in the finals against University of the Philippines Diliman and Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology
Diaz was also named second Best Speaker, highlighting USC’s capacity to produce exceptional individuals alongside strong teams.
Three other USC teams— Tax to the Max, Taxilog, and Taxtraunots— also qualified for the national round.
The victory secures Team “AtTax on Titan” a spot in the Deloitte Tax Challenge 2025 Southeast Asia in Vietnam.
“Their back-to-back championships cement USC’s reputation as a powerhouse in accountancy education and tax competitions,” the school said.
“This victory not only brings pride to USC but also proves that Carolinians are unstoppable in their pursuit of excellence. They continue to ascend high—reaching golden heights and setting the bar for others to follow,” it added.
