THE DEPARTMENT of Education, along with its partner agencies and stakeholders, gathered to discuss future interventions for the implementation of the Philippine Qualifications Framework.

DepEd emphasized that the PQF aligns with Republic Act No. 10968, or the PQF Act.

The PQF is a national policy that defines levels of educational qualifications and establishes standards for qualification outcomes. It aims to integrate basic, technical, vocational, and higher education into a unified nationwide framework of skills and competencies.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara has prioritized setting accelerated strategies for the National Coordinating Council under his leadership as the DepEd chairperson of the PQF-NCC.

“Let us seize this opportunity to refine and solidify our plans for the coming year. The PQF is not just a framework, but a steadfast commitment to improving lives, empowering our workforce, and ensuring the Philippines remains competitive globally,” said Undersecretary for Strategic Management Ronald Mendoza.

According to DepEd, the one-day validation workshop provided technical working groups with an opportunity to review their plans, collaborate on a shared agreement, identify interdependencies and linkages, and develop operational strategies.
