THE DEAN of the College of Nursing of the Visayas State University won the Best Oral Presentation award in the Second National Research Congress held by Universidad de Zamboanga.

Christian Vie Baldonado presented his study, “Job Stress and Caring Behavior of Nurses and Their Patients’ Satisfaction to the Delivery of Care in a Government Hospital.”

The research explored the link between nurses’ job stress, caring behavior, and patient satisfaction.

It revealed that increased job stress among nurses negatively impacts their caring behaviors, underscoring the need for enhanced healthcare services.

The congress promoted collaboration among universities and institutions nationwide through the exchange of research findings and best practices.

Over 100 papers aligned with sustainable development goals were presented, reflecting the event’s focus on using SDGs as a global research agenda.

The two-day conference took place at Palacio del Sur in Zamboanga City to mark Universidad de Zamboanga’s 76th Founding Anniversary.
