SOLON REITERATES CALL TO ENSURE PROPER INTERVENTION FOR STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES
HOUSE Committee on Basic Education Chairman Roman Romulo reiterated his call for the government to ensure proper interventions for students experiencing learning difficulties.
Romulo emphasized that the government should be proactive in ensuring that no student is left behind.
“Gusto natin, as much as possible, kapag may nakita tayong estudyanteng nahihirapan, mag-intervene na tayo agad. Huwag na nating hintayin hanggang matapos ang school year,” Romulo stated.
He highlighted that basic education must provide learners with a solid foundation in literacy and numeracy.
This is why Romulo advocated for the enactment of the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program.
The ARAL Program will prioritize improving competencies in essential subjects such as reading and mathematics for Grades 1 to 10, and science for Grades 3 to 10.
