PANGASINAN STATE U TO HOLD VIRTUAL GRADUATION RITES
THE PANGASINAN State University announces the holding of its virtual year-end commencement rites for graduating students for school year 2019-2020.
The school said the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs has decided to conduct a virtual graduation ceremony, according to its Facebook page.
“After months of delay and careful decision, the OVPA finally agreed to conduct an online graduation ceremony to PSUians. VP Dr. Manolito Manuel called a meeting with the selected university officials and faculty members to plan the preparation for the said event,” the university said.
The university previously postponed its physical graduation rites last June due to the continuous rise of Covid19 cases in the province.
However, students questioned the decision, stating ‘they are willing to wait until it is safe again to conduct a traditional ceremony.’
“Hayst. Most important part of college life, kaso wala na.” “Willing to wait naman po kami kahit next year na. Ito po kasi pinakahihintay namin at ng mga nag-paaral sa amin,”and“Ang sakit baka pwede pa po i-reschedule, basta wag lang virtual,” were some of the reactions posted by the students.
