THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Los Baños is reviewing its General Education Program to ensure its relevance in the face of “artificial intelligence, accelerated technology turnover, and an interconnected global community.”

UPLB faculty held the 1st General Education Program Planning Workshop last August in Tagaytay City, with the theme “Dalub-Turuan: Dalubhasaan sa Pagtuturo ng GE sa UPLB; Guro sa Kapwa Guro.”

The workshop consisted of various sessions that examined different aspects of teaching and implementing GE subjects at UPLB.

It also facilitated discussions that allowed GE faculty to share their experiences and best practices in teaching these courses.

Additionally, the workshop highlighted mental health issues, with a discussion led by Jholyan Francis Fornillos of the Department of Social Sciences, who also serves as the president of the Pambansang Samahan sa Sikolohiyang Pilipino.
