5K STUDENTS RECEIVE FINANCIAL AID FROM ISIP PROGRAM
ANOTHER batch of 5,000 students has received ₱5,000 in financial aid through the Integrated Scholarship and Incentives Program (ISIP) for the Youth.
The distribution was led by Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr. and House Speaker Martin Romualdez at Bacoor Elementary School in Cavite. In addition to the financial aid, each student also received 5 kilograms of rice.
ISIP beneficiaries receive financial assistance to support their tertiary and vocational education. The funds are sourced from the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program.
Students enrolled in this program are eligible for additional benefits, including enrollment in the Commission on Higher Education’s Tulong Dunong Program, which provides ₱15,000 per year in scholarship assistance, priority slots in the Government Internship Program, and the inclusion of their unemployed parents or guardians in the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) TUPAD program. Beneficiaries also receive cash assistance every six months for tuition and other expenses.
