A PROFESSOR from the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology was appointed board member of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.

Dr. Cecilia B. Tangian took oath last month representing the private sector.

She assumed her new post on May 1, 2024. She will be serving until January 3, 2026.

Tangian is a professor from the Department of History and the Director of the Center for Advanced Education and Life-Long Learning

The NHCP has the goal of maintaining a Filipino society with an informed citizen of their history, who love their country and are proud of their cultural heritage.
