NAGA CITY TURNS OVER NEW SCHOOL BUILDING
THE CITY government of Naga turned over on July 5 a new school building for the Naga City Science High School to accommodate more students.
The turnover ceremony was led by Mayor Son Legacion, Sangguniang Panlungsod members and officials of the Department of Education.
Meanwhile, Naga City’s Education Sector Mechanism was launched on July 3 at the NCSHS.
The Education Sector Mechanism was introduced by the ABC+: Advancing Basic Education in the Philippines and supported by the United States Agency for International Development in partnership with the DepEd.
It aims to provide a platform for the participating institutions to discuss the state of basic education and strategize interventions to efficiently mobilize and utilize resources.
The program will deal with issues on the local education sector, supporting evidence-based planning and budgeting for learning in the early grades in conjunction with DepEd, local governments and other stakeholders.
