NATIONAL U-DASMA HOLDS DISASTER RISK REDUCTION SEMINAR
THE CIVIL Engineering Department of the National University in Dasmariñas conducted a disaster risk reduction and management seminar at the Vicente P. Villanueva Memorial School to help its community prepare for disasters.
The seminar titled”Building Resilience: Strategies for Disaster Risk Management,” aimed to prepare teachers, parents and students for any disaster.
The seminar was facilitated by Engr. Abegail Alboladora, CE faculty representative, Engr. Hersel Danna Sangalang, officer-in-charge dean of the schools of Engineering, Computing and Architecture, and faculty from the CE department.
Engr. Ferdinand Marcos Felarca taught the attendees the methods on how to be safe during disasters. The attendees were also taught how to properly use fire extinguishers.
The engineers encouraged them to use their knowledge to ensure their readiness for any disaster.
