ATENEO STUDENTS WIN IN TECHNOPRENEURS CHALLENGE
STUDENTS from the Ateneo de Manila University bagged the Grand Champion in this year’s QBO Philippines’ annual QOMPETE Intercollegiate Technopreneurs Challenge.
The team composed of BS Information Technology Entrepreneurship students Justin Luis Uy, Dione Gabrielle Gan, and Marjorie Ann Viola was recognized for its application called “Petagon.”
Petagon is a pet profiling application that integrates all pet care activities and necessities into a single platform.
Now on its second year, QOMPETE is QBO’s program for university stakeholders involving workshops on startup fundamentals.
The workshops cover ideation, validation, business modeling and pitching. Participants are guided on developing innovative ideas through a hands-on and engaging environment.
The program culminates in a pitching competition where all participants will be asked to share their outputs, with the chosen team receiving a prize.
QBO Philippines is a public-private partnership led by the IdeaSpace Foundation and supported by the JP Morgan Foundation, the Philippine Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Trade and Industry.
