TOP CSU OFFICIAL CALLS OUT STUDENT PUBLICATION FOR APRIL FOOLS PRANK

/ 3 April 2022

CAGAYAN State University president Dr. Urdujah G. Alvarado called out the university’s student publication for its April fool’s prank.

Alvarado on her Facebook page said that final exams will proceed as scheduled contrary to the published report in the CSU Communicator that final examinations had been suspended by the university.

The Communicator mentioned the move was the administration’s way of addressing the grievances of students and examinations are suspended across all CSU campuses.

“There is no announcement made as to the suspension of Final Exams, there is also no clamor from the students to suspend final exams,” Alvarado said in a statement.

“Fake news from the Communicator, an official student publication, is not a good prank for April Fools’ Day. Misleading. FINAL EXAM AS SCHEDULED,” it added.

The post has since reached a total of 1,700 reactions, 201 comments, and 361 shares.

The publication has yet to issue a statement regarding the matter.
