THE SOUTHERN  Luzon State University held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new medical facility.

The university said that the new six-story medical teaching facility will rise at its Main Campus in Lucban, Quezon.

The building will house the College of Medicine.

The project is part of House Bill 7857 or the  “An Act Establishing a College of Medicine in the Southern Luzon State University-Main Campus in the Municipality of Lucban, Province Of Quezon, to be known as the Southern Luzon State University-College Of Medicine and Appropriating Funds Therefor.”

The building is part of the priority project of Quezon Representatives Dr. Angeline Tan Wildrido Mark Enverga.

The school said that the project aims to produce medical professionals to serve the region.
