CSU-PIAT STUDENTS TOLD TO REPORT REQUESTS FOR ‘SENSITIVE’ PHOTOS
THE CAGAYAN State University in Piat town urged students to report requests or solicitations for sensitive photos that will allegedly be used for research purposes as it denied giving permission to such activities.
Some students have received messages asking for their sensitive photos from fake accounts of a graduate school student or a nurse of the university.
The requests were made through the account of “Janel Suyu”, who claimed that the photos will be used for a dissertation and that school officials approved the research.
The CSU Communicator, the university’s official student publication, reported that students were offered P2,000 for the photos.
The university said that no such research had been approved and that it would never allow such questionable activities.
The CSU College of Information and Computing Sciences urged students to immediately report to school authorities any request for sensitive photos.
