MODIFIED ENROLLMENT PROCESS BEGINS TODAY
THE MODIFIED enrollment process will be rolled out from August 16 to September 13, the Department of Education said.
In its order No. 32 s. 2021, DepEd outlined the enrollment guidelines for SY 2021-2022 in the context of a continuing national public emergency.
Teachers and non-teaching personnel who will be assigned to manage the enrollment should preferably be vaccinated, the department said.
Schools should make available the enrollment forms both in digital and print formats and set up communication hotlines to easily disseminate information.
“Enrollment will be done remotely in areas under enhanced community quarantine and modified enhanced community quarantine,” DepEd said.
“Parents and guardians may physically submit the Modified Learner Enrollment and Survey Forms in schools in areas under general community quarantine and modified general community quarantine,” it added.
Under the remote enrollment, parents will be contacted by the school or they can opt to reach out to their child’s adviser.
DepEd also instructed schools to set up drop boxes in front of school gates, barangay halls, and other strategic locations where parents can submit the MLESF.
For incoming kindergarten, Grades 7 at 11 learners, parents must re-affirm their intent to enroll their children via digital or physical enrollment platforms established by schools.
Meanwhile, students planning to transfer to another school must contact the receiving school through its published enrollment contact details.
Balik-Aral learners are instructed to directly contact their preferred schools for enrollment, while those enrolling under the Alternative Learning System are advised to communicate to schools and barangays with community learning centers.
