THE NORTHERN Iloilo Polytechnic State College has elected its new president —  Dr. Bobby Gerardo.

Gerardo was voted into office by the NIPSC Board of Trustees and Commission on Higher Education Chairman Prospero de Vera III at a special meeting on Thursday.

NIPSC said that Gerardo’s four-year development plan earned him the position.

Gerardo will be the 5th NIPSC president, succeeding Dr. Ma. Theresa G. Palmares.

The new president earned his doctorate degree in engineering from the Kunsan University in South Korea. He is a recipient of national and international awards for his public service initiatives.

Gerardo was the former vice president for administration and finance at the West Visayas State University.
