CREAMLINE, CHOCO MUCHO GET GAB CLEARANCE TO RESUME TRAINING INSIDE PAMPANGA BUBBLE
The Games and Amusement Board (GAB) has already allowed Creamline Cool Smashers and Choco Mucho Flying Titans to hold a training camp at St. Paul American School, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.
GAB Chairman Baham Mitra confirmed the regulatory agency has already cleared the joint applications of the two teams who are requesting a green signal to resume training.
Mitra also lauded Creamline and Choco Mucho for their initiative to conduct a safe environment in training through a bubble in Pampanga, which is now under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).
“Considering the alarming spike in the number of Covid-19 cases, I am happy to learn that two teams of PVL have decided to stage their conditioning inside a bubble. This move is really an added safety measure,” said Mitra in a statement.
The training of the two teams will start on April 27, Tuesday, and will end until May 23 in preparation for the Premier Volleyball League season this June.
“We gave them the initial approval to conduct conditioning in some areas in Metro Manila last March. But in order to ensure the safety of our professional athletes and sports officials, we decided to recall our initial approval,” said Mitra.
GAB had previously allowed the conduct of training for the clubs, however, PVL teams had opted to take a respite after the government imposed stricter restrictions in the National Capital Region and other nearby provinces, such as Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan, and Cavite.
