TDC SETS UP COMMUNITY PANTRY
THE TEACHERS’ Dignity Coalition set up its own community pantry in its national office in Caloocan City on Monday.
It was the first among the group’s localized solidarity operations aimed to assist families affected by Covid19 pandemic.
The Bayanihang Guro Community Pantry adopted the Maginhawa Community Pantry slogan “Magbigay ayon sa Kakayahan, Kumuha Batay sa Pangangailangan.”
It is located at the boundary of Caloocan City and Valenzuela City.
Like the other pantries, the Bayanihang Guro Community Pantry will accept contributions from donors.
The organizers pledged to continue the program while there are donations.
The group encouraged its members to set up community pantries in their localities.
Meanwhile, alumni officers of the Ifugao State University-Lamut campus on Sunday announced that they will set up a community pantry.
The initiative was in coordination with the local government of Nayon, Lamut.
The public pantry will be set up at the Alumni Center of Nayon.
The group asked asked kind-hearted individuals to donate if they can.
Donors can drop off goods at the Nayon Barangay Hall or at the Alumni Center.

The officers also packed and distributed relief goods to IFSU alumni who were quarantined last week.
