THE NATIONAL Academy of Science and Technology, in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology and the Philippine Science and Technology Center – Guimaras will conduct the second episode of ScienTeach on Monday, April 12, 2021.

The event will be aired on the NAST PHL social media account.

The virtual symposium is open to junior and senior high school students from Region 6.

The resource speakers are National Scientist Ernesto Domingo and academicians Carmencita Padilla and Rody Sy.

Dr. Jaime Alfonso Aherrera, 2020 Outstanding Young Scientist, will serve as master of ceremonies and moderator.

The event will also be participated by NAST PHL President Rhodora Azanza, National Scientist Raul Fabella, and DOST-VI Regional Director Rowen Gelonga.

Before the pandemic, the symposium for the youth was held in various provinces.

ScienTeach is a collection of episodes that highlights varying topics featuring NAST members and awardees who are accomplished in their respective fields.

It utilizes online platforms while obtaining the objectives of the traditional lecture series, which are to promote science and technology, promote the NAST members and its awardees and inspire and encourage the students to pursue a career in science.

NAST PHL is an attached agency of the DOST.
