DEPED OFFERS ONLINE TRAINING ON TECHNOLOGY FOR TEACHERS
THE DEPARTMENT of Education will offer online training programs for teachers to boost their knowledge on education technology.
The training will be from March 15-19, 2021.
The department said that the training programs spearheaded by the Information and Communications Technology Service- Education Technology Unit will be on a voluntary basis.
The training programs will be aired live on Facebook, YouTube, and Streamyard platforms. It will also be uploaded in DepEd Commons and Learning Management System to allow teachers to take the training at their own pace.
The training will focus on education technology and shall cover topics on integration and utilization of DepEd Commons, DepEd TV, DepEd Learning Management System, and Open Educational Resources, among others.
Last year, around 1.4 million voluntarily participated in a similar training initiative to enhance their ability to deliver lessons more effectively in the blended learning set-up.
“We thank our teachers who continue to embrace the demands of their profession amidst these difficult times. In this line, DepEd will further push policies and programs supporting our educators’ welfare,” the department said in a statement.
