TRINITY UNIVERSITY OF ASIA HOLDS FREE TUTORIALS FOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS
STUDENTS and faculty of the Trinity University of Asia will tutor pupils of the Betty Go Belmonte Elementary School under the university’s
Rethinking Education, Championing and Accelerating School Transformation Project.
Project RECAST aims to provide internet connectivity resources to all its beneficiaries by providing SIM cards with monthly data allowance and subscription.
It also seeks to bridge the learning gaps by deploying learning assistants from the university.
The learning assistants are composed of selected faculty members of the Senior High School and Junior High School departments and student leaders.
Each learning assistant will handle five Grade 5 students.
Beginning March 1, learning assistants will hold one hour tutorial sessions thrice a week on Math, English and Science.
TUA Junior High Officer-in-Charge Julius Somera shared that Project RECAST was launched because of “his passion and love for educating learners.”
