HINIMOK ni Duterte Youth Partylist Rep. Ducielle Cardema ang Department of National Defense na sunod nang kanselahin ang kasunduang ipinatutupad sa Polytechnic University of the Philippines makaraang i-terminate ang 1989 UP-DND accord.

“As Vice Chair of the House Committee on National Defense and Security, I call on the DND to also cancel its similar PUP-DND accord because it creates inequality among the more than 400 campuses of the different SUC accross the nation,” pahayag ni Cardema sa plenary session.

“Kung sa 400 plus campuses ng iba’t ibang SUCs ng bansa wala namang ganyang accord pero peaceful naman, tama lamang tanggalin na ang special treatment na ‘yan na naabuso rin naman,” diin pa ng kongresista.

Sinabi pa ni Cardema na bagama’t mayorya ng mga estudyante sa UP ay ‘hardworking at peace loving’ na nakapokus sa kanilang pangarap sa buhay, may iilan na sumusunod at naniniwala na magsisilbi sila sa taumbayan sa pamamagitan ng pagpapabagsak sa gobyerno.

“These few radical leftists are anti-government, anti-government troops and they do not condemn the killings and attacks of the CPP-NPA-NDF against our people across the nation,” diin pa ni Cardema.

Dahil dito, iginiit ni Cardema na suportado nila ang kanselasyon ng kasunduan na inabuso na umano ng ilang makakaliwang grupo para sa promosyon ng youth recruitment sa NPA sa kanilang campus.

“This is not in anyway red tagging. My husband National Youth Commission Commissioner Ronald Cardema was also a member of League of Filipino Students in UP before and we have schoolmates there who have already been killed as NPA fighters,” dagdag pa ng kongresista.
