THE AUSTRALASIAN Debate Training Initiative, a group that focuses on honing children’s debating skills, is offering a free debate coaching program for students.

The ASEAN Debate Coaching Program for ASEAN countries will take place weekly, from February 8 to March 29.

Participants will receive an hour of tailored debate coaching on different focus areas related to Asian Parliamentary debate including politics and economics, sound strategy, analytical rigor and self-learning.

“After each coaching session, they will have the opportunity to put new skills into action, with a practice debate. At the end of each weekly debate, your coaches will then offer you comprehensive feedback and tips for future improvement,” the group said.

“The coaching curriculum written by some of the best debaters in the world will not only give the tools to succeed in debating, but will more importantly teach you the fundamental principles, knowledge-base, and public-speaking skills which have served the ADTI team so well in our lives outside of our debating,” it added.
