DEPED URGED TO REVISIT, REVISE PLAN FOR COMING SCHOOL YEAR
THE ALLIANCE of Concerned Teachers urged the Department of Education to revisit and revise its plan for school year 2020-2021.
THE ALLIANCE of Concerned Teachers urged the Department of Education to revisit and revise its plan for school year 2020-2021.
ACT secretary-general Raymond Basilio stressed the department doesn’t address the real issues regarding the opening of classes.
“Ngayon po opisyal nating sinasabi sa Department of Education, revise your plan, revisit your plan, tingnan mo kung saan patungo ang programang BE-LCP (Basic Education Learning Continuity Program), tingnan mo ano’ng mangyayari sa kabataan dahil sa programang ito,” Basilio said in a press briefing on Wednesday.
The group said if the department won’t be revisiting its plan, then it’s ‘time up’ for the agency and the Duterte administration.
Basilio stressed that without education program and concrete plan, the opening of classes cannot be pursued.
Ruby Bernardo of ACT National Capital Region Union said ‘stress’ and ‘burden’ were being experienced by teachers as they had taken so much time to prepare for a 30 to 60 minute lecture.
ACT Teacher party-list Rep. France Castro joined and supported the group.
She said the ‘better normal, better solution’ should be attained.
